BD 5ml Plasma Preparation Tubes (PPT™) are evacuated, sterile plastic blood collection tubes used to separate undiluted plasma for molecular diagnostic tests (like PCR). They contain spray-dried \(K_{2}EDTA\) anticoagulant and an inert gel that forms a physical barrier between plasma and cellular components during centrifugation.
